People make all the difference. How you recruit, support, train, develop and deploy staff and volunteers will be the real expression of your success. Great organisations find ways to recruit great staff and volunteers and reward and keep them. Reducing churn, driving productivity and increasing calibre are all part of the answer.
You may have two staff or less and need to get the framework right to support growth. You may have 10-20 staff - or more - and need to look at support, communications, systems and processes. Training and development as well as consideration of the overall reward package, are in many ways more important than salary. How people feel in their employment with you is a critical factor.
